In 2022, Groupe Casino selected RowShare as its tool for tracking and reporting on internal recruitment and mobility for the Human Resources Department of the group. After more than a year of using this solution, here is their feedback.
Could you share a brief description of your company?
Groupe Casino has been a historic player in the French distribution industry since 1898. We are one of the world leaders in proximity food distribution, with more than 10,000 stores worldwide.
What problems were you trying to solve with RowShare?
In 2019, we implemented a reporting tool to track the actions and results of our mobility and recruitment teams. This project had a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) component, particularly concerning gender equality. However, our previous solution, which was based on Access and Excel, had performance issues, bugs, and ergonomic challenges; this made its use difficult and affected the reliability of our data.
We considered developing an in-house solution, but the cost was prohibitive. That was when we discovered RowShare, one of the top-rated solutions for data entry and reporting.

What was the challenge?
The challenge was critical, because we needed to provide detailed reports to our management, as well as to each branch and subsidiary, on actions taken in each period. It was a major concern at the Casino level.
Why did you choose RowShare?
What struck us from the beginning was the simplicity of the solution. When you first log into RowShare, it is immediately noticeable. We were also looking for an agile solution, with the ability to freely create and design dashboards.
Additionally, RowShare’s support offer made a difference. We needed support from the start of the project, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the investment and the follow-up from the RowShare team. They continually improved the solution based on our needs throughout our collaboration.
How did the implementation of RowShare go? Did you need assistance?
We started by explaining our current tool’s use and defining the precise scope of the new solution together. Contrary to our expectations, we did not need to create everything ourselves; RowShare took care of everything, which was a real asset. In addition to their solution, RowShare advised and implemented a reporting solution (i.e., Power BI).
The cost of the solution, including implementation, was significantly reduced compared to our previous solution from the first year.
Who are the RowShare users at Casino?
Approximately 20 people from the internal recruitment and mobility teams actively use RowShare daily.
What do you like about RowShare?
The performance and ease of use are evident, which was not the case with our previous solution. The time spent entering information for reporting has significantly decreased, going from several hours to a few seconds. Rights management is also an asset, as it is accessible to functional managers without IT skills.
How did RowShare help save time and/or money at Casino?
The cost of the solution, including implementation, was significantly reduced compared to our previous solution from the first year. Furthermore, the tool is used twice as much for recruitment as before, ensuring more reliable data and the use of all KPIs. The amount of time saved is considerable, going from several minutes to fill in a row to only a few seconds.
